The Venue Technician will carry out duties with due diligence as directed by the Head of Technical and Senior Venue Technician including responsibility for ensuring that safe working practices are adhered to at all times on work carried out in the get in, fit up, show running and get out of productions.
To work alongside other technical staff and casuals to create a safe and welcoming environment. To take responsibility for all technical equipment and to undertake in the training and safe operation of such equipment.
The Venue Technician will support the Technical Department on a wide range of activities including performances, rehearsals, workshops, meetings, weddings, parties and commercial events, and maintaining our Grade II and II* listed buildings.
Is this job for you?
We’re looking for a venue technician with a solid foundation in all venue technical disciplines. Specialism weighted towards electrics are strongly desired.
You’ll have venue-based health and safety experience and you’ll be comfortable working safely and effectively in a flexible, multi-arts venue, including supporting the management of the technical, safety and compliance interface with visiting shows and events. On a personal level, you’ll be well-organised, team focused and have pride in producing the best result for our audiences
