About this job

The Kitchen Assistant will be based in the Visitors’ Book Café kitchen. You will work alongside our chef to assist in delivering high quality breakfast dishes to order as well as preparing sandwiches, salads, baked savouries & soups ready for lunch. You will also be expected to run a paired back offering from the kitchen on the chefs days off.

Alongside this we are expanding our inhouse catering / hospitality business. You would be helping produce additional sandwich platters and other menu items to support activity in other spaces being used for private hires and events.

We’re looking for people who love working in a team and are keen to learn. You will be passionate about food and excited about our all day food offering.

You’ll be given full training on our menu, some previous kitchen experience is desirable and you’ll need to be motivated to learn.
