April: Rye Lane
The winner of this month’s community vote is Rye Lane. Directed by Raine Allen Miller, this is the story of Yas (Vivian Oparah) and Dom (David Jonsson), two youngsters reeling from bad breakups who connect over an eventful day in South London.
This month’s film club looked back at those fan favourite romantic comedies that didn’t quite set the box office on fire at the time, but we think deserve a lot more love.
Rye Lane beat out the following options:
- About Time (2013)
- Eagle Vs Shark (2007)
- Submarine (2011)
- The Lobster (2015)
Vote Opened: 1 March 2024
Vote Closed: 10 March 2024
Screening Date: 5 April 2024 at 7pm
