K N Chimbiri

Come and meet award-nominated children's Black history author K.N. Chimbiri!

Join us in conversation with the author of The Story of the Windrush.

Combining historical fact with authentic voices, this book sensitively tells the inspiring story of the Windrush generation for younger readers. Come and hear why this, and other true-life stories from Black history, are more relevant than ever.

Kandace (writing as K.N. Chimbiri) is the author of 9 ground-breaking children's books including The Story of Britain's Black Airmen, The Story of Britain's Black Nurses and The Story of Afro Hair, 5,000 Years of History, Fashion and Styles.

She is dedicated to teaching children (and adults) about modern and ancient Black history and has worked on museum children's trails, outreach projects, and public engagement events.

We will have all of her books for sale so come along, ask questions and get yourself a signed copy.
