Are you a conjurer in the kitchen?

A baker of baked beans?

A whizz with a whisk?

Or a terrible cook who can make that one perfect fish dish?

If so – we’d love to hear from you!

What is The Great Beanfeast Recipe Swap?

As part of Beanfeast 2024 we are launching a project to collect and curate food memories from our local community. To start this exciting work, we are asking you for your favourite recipe to share and swap with those attending Beanfeast 2024!

There is a recipe form where we ask for your name(s), your recipe, your memory associated with your recipe and an image/picture which best helps tell your story about your recipe.

What will we do with your recipe?

We would like to display your recipe, with the details and image/drawing you provide, on the day as part of Beanfeast for all to enjoy (and cook!). We would then like to continue this tradition at future Beanfeasts, adding more and more recipes at each festival.

We may also upload them to the Woolwich Works website to create an online community cookbook. We might contact you to talk in person about your recipe. At some point in the future, we may even make The Great Beanfeast Recipe Swap Cookbook. Watch this space!

Important Information

• The recipe can be as simple or as complicated as you like
• You can send in more than one recipe, but they need to be filled out on separate recipe forms
• You can send in a recipe form as an individual, as a group, as a family, as a restaurant – there are no rules!
• Any photos/drawings attached to recipes cannot be returned
• At the bottom of the online form, we ask for your full name and email address. This information won’t be displayed publicly, this is just a means for us to contact you about this project in the future. If you are filling the form out on the day, a volunteer will collect this information from you
• At the bottom of the form, we ask you to tick a box to give us your permission to be a part of the project, for us to display your recipe (both as part of the installation, online, in a recipe book, in any future iteration). Without your permission we sadly cannot include your recipe.
• If you have any questions, please email tickets@woolwich.works and we will do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible

You can fill out a recipe form online in advance of Beanfeast HERE

You can download a recipe form, fill it out, print it off and drop off at our cafe during opening hours, in advance of Beanfeast

You can join us on the day and fill out one of the blank recipe forms by The Great Beanfeast Recipe Swap installation (please note if you bring in a photo, we won’t be able to return it to you)
