Do you have a story to tell? This 4 hour workshop will consider how we make theatre as a queer artist. What does it mean to use autobiographical material to create work? What role do gender and sexuality play in our storytelling? How do we make playful, political and personal work? And what even is Queer Theatre? We will use discussion, games and exercises to help you devise a theatre piece around your story for the Songbook project. You will have a chance to share your work at the end of the session and you’ll leave with the skills to develop it further, for performance at the Songbook Showcase event, in September.
