The NYJO Under 18s is a Saturday programme hosted at Woolwich Works for talented young jazz musicians aged 14-18, offering training, ensemble-playing, performance opportunities and jams to develop their technique and creativity. And to have fun too!

On Sunday, 7 July, the two groups in the programme will be playing at Woolwich Works’ courtyard, led by Music Directors and NYJO Educators Winston Clifford and Olivia Murphy.

Come along for a fun afternoon in the sun and take the opportunity to be inspired by the brilliant young players, as they showcase what they’ve been working on during the term.

ABOUT NYJO

Also known as the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, NYJO is an organisation dedicated to making jazz and creative music-making more accessible to early-career musicians, young people, and audiences across the country. Throughout our activity, we seek to create a meeting ground between the established and the experimental – the past, present, and future – to build bespoke programmes which cater to lifelong and new jazz fans alike.
