Whether you're advanced or have never beatboxed, Apollo’s workshops are designed to teach and elevate your skills. Dive into the art of vocal percussion, musicality and hip-hop. Learn the fundamental sounds and experiment with what your voice can do, all while having fun. This workshop is aimed at those 13-17! What you’ll learn:

• Basics of Beatboxing: Understand the fundamental sounds (bass drum, hi-hat, snare).

• Timing: Using games, learn how to keep time.

• Simple Patterns and Rhythms: Get hands-on practice with easy-to-follow patterns.

• Collaboration: Learn to create music and work with other people.

Apollo (Alex Hardie) is a beatboxer / vocalist who has worked extensively across the UK and is currently in the Battersea Art Centre’s (BAC) Beatbox Academy’s new, award winning, show ‘Pied Piper: A Hip-hop Family Musical’. Bringing new flows to the scene, busking, creating music and jamming are at the centre of his practise.
