Joké Bakare won a Michelin star this year with her Chisuru, a modern West African restaurant in Fitzrovia. Joké is the first Black female chef to win a Michelin star in the UK, and only the second in the world. In discussion with restaurant journalist David Paw she will delve into the life of a Michelin star restaurant, the story of her restaurant and her journey into food, the world of London restaurants, as well as cooking food from her heritage and what West African food means in London.
