Award-winning writer Melek Erdal in discussion with chef and author Melissa Thompson will discuss her work, with reference to her essay in cult-hit book London Feeds Itself about her Kurdish London community, and developing recipes for Vittles that are anchored in Kurdish traditions and often based around investigating language. This will also be a discussion about the space of London on food cultures. Melissa is a London-based chef and author, her debut cookbook Motherland: A Jamaican Cookbook came out in 2022.
