Are you keen to explore your creativity? Would you like the chance to explore the links between art and music within a safe and open creative space?

Join NYJO (National Youth Jazz Orchestra) for this workshop, where you will have the chance to create your own piece of art inspired by the music of Sun Ra Arkestra.

Together with support from NYJO’s experienced creative team, you will explore how Sun Ra was inspired by concepts of space and ‘cosmic consciousness’ as he urged people to explore how we can shape a better world for ourselves.

You will have the chance to create your own piece of art/costuming inspired by the music that you hear in this session, and you may even see your work featured as part of NYJO’s Sun Ra inspired performance at this year’s We Out Here Festival!
